The Analysis Exchange is an effort to dramatically increase the number of people on Earth doing web analytics the right way. Run entirely by Analytics Demystified, the Analysis Exchange is creating an entirely new way to teach digital measurement best practices by connecting great causes with experienced mentors and motivated students.
The first iteration of Analysis Exchange was hugely popular and by many measures changed the way individual entered into the analytics community. Unfortunately, one byproduct of the effort’s success was a lack of scalability … we had far more students interested in doing projects than we had projects or mentors to support them.
Enter Analysis Exchange version 2.0.
The new Analysis Exchange is built to be a more “self-guided” effort for students, thusly dramatically increasing our ability to scale and support folks across the globe. Thanks to Google and an increasing number of data partners, students can now do projects designed to answer real business questions at their own pace. We have moved from a one-to-one ratio of mentors to students to a one-to-many model, allowing our best mentors to help lots and lots of students (if they so desire) while reducing the amount of time required dramatically.
We are very hopeful for this new model, we continue to look for data partners, and we are excited about what the future of early analyst education has in store.
