Are you hearing more and more about R and wondering if you should give it a closer look? If so, there is a new resource in town: dartistics.com!
The site is the outgrowth of a one-day class that Mark Edmondson and I taught in Copenhagen last week and is geared specifically towards digital analysts. So, the examples and discussion, to the extent possible, are based on web analytics scenarios, and, in many cases, they are scenarios that you can follow along with using your own data.
A few highlights from the site:
- If you’re running Google Analytics, the site has the fastest and easiest way to start pulling in your data using R (this is courtesy of a couple of packages that Mark wrote)
- If you’re running Adobe Analytics, the site has instructions for authenticating both the “old” and “new” way (before sending you off to http://randyzwitch.com/rsitecatalyst, which already has a plethora of instructions and examples for using the RSiteCatalyst package)
- There is a whole section on modeling…which is a nice intro with some nice examples that get walked through step-by-step.
- There is a community-driven link repository of useful resources — generated as the result of a discussion in the #r-and-statistics channel in the Measure Slack team.
Oh…and the site is built entirely using R (specifically, RMarkdown… and, yeah, there’s an intro to that, too, on the site), which, in and of itself, is kind of neat.
