Back in 2005 when web analytics was young there was nowhere for analyst to gather and exchange ideas … so Analytics Demystified founded the Web Analytics Forum at Yahoo! Groups. In 2007 there was no way for analysts to meet locally to network over drinks … so Analytics Demystified founded Web Analytics Wednesday. In 2009 it was obvious that the community needed a way for individuals with interest in the field to get hands-on experience doing analysis … so Analytics Demystified founded the Analysis Exchange. And in 2011, when it was obvious that industry conference had become the same old tired thing … Analytics Demystified built ACCELERATE and the unique “Ten Tips in Twenty Minutes” format.
That all seems like so long ago, and since that time the industry has come a long way.
Now that the analytics industry has matured we have focused our efforts. Currently Analytics Demystified focuses on supporting the analytics community through four primary efforts:
- The Demystified Library – a great and growing repository of tips and tricks designed to make the analysts life easier
- The Analysis Exchange – our “second generation” effort to help provide hand’s on experience and feedback to the analysts of tomorrow
- Analyst Resources – downloadable tools and resources for digital analysts
- Books and White Papers – light reading for the digital analyst
