Google Analytics = Strawberry?
Google Analytics recently had a bit of a hiccup with their data processing, which caused the tool to present inaccurate data for many users’ sites for the period between April 30th and May 5th. Google is reprocessing the data, and they expect to get most of it corrected. But, the situation triggered a lengthy and heated debate on the webanalytics Yahoo! group about what Google Analytics is/is not good for.
Stéphane Hamel assessed the situation using a strawberries/oranges/piña colada analogy that was pretty slick. I wrote up my thoughts on his thoughts over on the Bulldog Solutions blog.
