Free Adobe Analytics Review @ Adobe Summit
For the past seven years (and many years prior to that while at Omniture!), I have reviewed/audited hundreds of Adobe Analytics implementations. In most cases, I find mistakes that have been made and things that organizations are not doing that they should be. Both of these issues impede the ability of organizations to be successful with Adobe Analytics. Poorly implemented items can lead to bad analysis and missed implementation items represent an opportunity cost for data analysis that could be done, but isn’t. Unfortunately, most organizations “don’t know what they don’t know” about implementing Adobe Analytics, because the people working there have only implemented Adobe Analytics oncee, or possibly two times, versus people like me who do it for a living. In reality, I see a lot of the same common mistakes over and over again and I have found that showing my clients what is incorrect and what can be done instead is a great way for them to learn how to master Adobe Analytics (something I do in my popular Adobe Analytics “Top Gun” Class).
Therefore, at this year’s Adobe Summit in Las Vegas, I am going to try something I haven’t done in any of my past Summit presentations. This year, I am asking for volunteers to have me review your implementation (for free!) and share with the audience a few things that you either need to fix or net new things you could do to improve your Adobe Analytics implementation. In essence, I am offering to do a free review of your implementation and give you some free consulting! The only catch is that when I share my advice, it will be in front of a live audience so that they can learn along with you. In doing this, here are some things I will make sure of:
- I will work with my volunteers to make sure that no confidential data is shown and will share my findings prior to the live presentation
- I will not do anything to embarrass you about your current implementation. In fact, I have found that most of the bad things I find are implementation items that were done by people who are no longer part of the organization, so we can blame it on them 😉
- I will attempt to review a few different types of websites so multiple industry verticals are represented
- You do not have to be at Adobe Summit for me to review your implementation
